Mr. DeLamar Turner III, also known to many as Del, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening, February 25, 2025 at the age of 69 surrounded by his wife and family. Del was born in Savannah, Georgia to Catherine Elizabeth Lankenau Turner and DeLamar Turner Jr. At a young age Del and his family moved to Jekyll Island Georgia where he perfected one of his favorite pastimes of fishing. Del graduated high school in 1973 from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia and from there Del attended the University of Georgia where he studied and earned a degree in business. After college Del started working as a computer salesman at Burrows Corporation, not long after he started work for Palmer and Cay for almost a decade and then finally finishing his career working for the city of Savannah as an analyst in the revenue department until he retired. In 1983 Del started dating the love of his life Sue Wagner Fehr, the two were married on May 26, 1984 on Jekyll Island and moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia shortly after where they raised their two sons Skipper and Scott.

Those that knew Del would tell you he was a man of many words, with a beaming smile and a heart of gold. Del was a friend to everyone and no one was a stranger. After retirement Del and Sue moved to Dallas Bluff Marina to be closer to his mother and help manage the family business. Del loved being near and on the water and would jump at any opportunity to help guide a sailboat to "Sailboat Heaven" just so he could be on the Julienton River. If you managed to get the opportunity to meet Del you would know he was proud of many things in life, including being a father and grandfather. He was a proud member of the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church where he spent almost 30 years attending and serving in many roles in the church. Del loved his family, his church family but most of all Del loved our Lord and Savior.

He is preceded in death by his Father DeLamar Turner Jr. and Catherine Elizabeth Lankenau Turner as well as his Father in Law The Reverend Doctor Donald C. Fehr and Mother in Law Peggy Wagner Fehr.

DeLamar Turner III, is survived by his wife of almost 41 years Suzanne Fehr Turner, his two sons DeLamar "Skipper" Turner IV, Scott (Nicole) Turner, his grandchildren Tristan, Sadie and Annie, his siblings Margie (Alan) Moore, Nancy (Jimmy) Brown, Robbie (Betsy) Turner, Barry (Lisa) Turner, Cathy (Chuck) Wells, His Uncle Norton (Pat) Turner and their family, as well as many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind countless friends and wonderful memories.

A celebration of Del's life will be held Saturday March 1st at 11:00 AM at the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church in Richmond Hill, GA. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that people make donations to the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Music Fund.
