David Alan Smith passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Richmond Hill, GA.  He was employed as an OTR Truck Driver with Mercer Transportation Co., and formerly a commercial fisherman and Captain of the Charley Boat, docked at the former Feger Seafood in New Smyrna Beach, FL.  He was a graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School.

David is survived by his wife, Tina Smith and children Abbee, Alan and April Smith, Jacksonville, FL.  He is also survived by his son, Adam J. Smith, Edgewater, FL, a sister, Susan R. Sapp (W.T.), Mershon, GA,  brother Bryan K. Smith (Melissa), Daytona Beach, FL. niece, Kayla Sapp and son, Kandon Reed Kinnon, nephew, Jacob Sapp and his son Jacob Parnell Sapp,.

David was predeceased by parents Robert H. and Bonnie F. Barber Smith of New Smyrna Beach, and brother, Robert W. Smith.
