Dave was born in Brooklyn, New York, to David and Maryann. Following the arrival of his sister Trish, the family moved to the small town of Barnstead, New Hampshire, where they embraced a quieter and more peaceful life. Dave grew up target shooting and fishing with his dad and running around outdoors catching frogs with his sister. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a small child, and Maryann devoted herself to managing his condition with great love and care.

Dave graduated from Pittsfield High School, and through his studies at Northeastern University, he went on to become a mechanical and manufacturing engineer. His natural aptitude for the field made him an excellent fit. He spent the last several years of his career designing machines at his favorite workplace; Great Dane. True to the nature of most engineers, Dave had a passion for logic and was known for his impeccable spreadsheets.

Dave was not only gifted in science and math; he was an avid athlete with an interest in both mental and physical precision. He achieved his third-degree black belt in martial arts, was an accomplished downhill skier, and enjoyed the discipline of target shooting. Whether in the dojo, on the slopes, or at the gun range, Dave chose activities that required skill, concentration, and dedication-qualities that defined him throughout his life.

Dave was best known as a loving husband and father, and a loyal friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Kirby, daughter Amanda, stepchildren Parker and Paige, grandchildren Royal and Scarlet, and sister Trish. His family meant everything to him, and he was especially delighted when Amanda visited from her home in Finland.

Dave's playful nature was evident in his love for bad puns and dad jokes- so much so that the family limited him to ten jokes a day. His sense of humor and infectious laugh brought light to us all. We were truly blessed to have him in our lives.

Dave fought tirelessly against heart and kidney disease; always holding onto hope, his strong faith, and a positive attitude. His belief gave him strength in the toughest times, and he was determined to stay on earth for long as possible. Despite his health challenges, his laughter and resilience were present until the end.

The family will receive friends at Richmond Hill Funeral Home on Friday April, 11 2025 from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
