Darvin D. Mitchell, age 79, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

Darvin was born in Millen, GA.  He grew up in Richmond Hill but lived most of his life in Savannah.  He was U.S. Army Veteran and had retired from ADT as a Regional Supervisor.  Darvin enjoyed gardening.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Quacco Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Phillips Mitchell and a grandson, Jordan Devegter.

Darvin is survived by 2 daughters, Melanie Knight (Brad) of Richmond Hill, Holly Devegter of Savannah; a son, Barry Mitchell (Lyrinda) of Richmond Hill; his sister, Betty Hurst of Richmond Hill; his brother, Billy Mitchell of Augusta, GA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
