Daniel "Danny" Anthony Marin, Jr., age 83, entered eternal rest on February 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Danny lived in Richmond Hill, GA for the past year and a half and before that in Newark, DE for over 30 years.  He was born in Manhattan and mostly grew up in Queens, NY.  He graduated from The Metropolitan High School in the Bronx and joined the Navy on his 18th birthday, August 19, 1959 where he worked as a Medic.  After Danny's time in the Navy he also spent time in the Merchant Marines.  Following his service in the Merchant Marines Danny went to work for Mobil Oil in the commercial shipping business.  While working for Mobil he met his wife, Barbara, in the Philadelphia area.  Upon getting married they settled in the Philadelphia area where he retired from Septa as a Mason First Class after 35 years.  He often liked to recount his travels abroad sharing his many adventures.  Danny was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors especially when cement projects arose.

Danny had a very strong work ethic, he was a great provider and was a man who found joy in simple pleasures.  He enjoyed fishing and working on home projects.  He was always fixing all kinds of things or creating a new project around the house.  He loved to garden and grow vegetables and flowers.  Danny loved world history and often discussed it but he especially loved helping his grandchildren with their history homework. One of Danny's favorite pleasures was to sit down to a delicious homemade meal prepared by his wife.

He was predeceased by Barbara, (nee Zarzecki), beloved wife of 56 years.  He was a loving and devoted father to Ann-Marie Nash (Andrew), Barbara Ann Seybold (Michael), Danielle Marin and Eric Marin (Cindy Floyd).  Danny will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Tommy, AJ, Adam, Anthony, Lauren and Michael.

Funeral services will be held in Newark, Delaware.
