Christopher Mark
Hodges
Nov 11, 1966 — Dec 22, 2025
Richmond Hill
Christopher "Mark" Hodges, 59, passed away in the early morning hours of December 22, 2025, in Richmond Hill Georgia.
Mark was born November 11, 1966, in Savannah Georgia. Mark never married and did not have children, but he sure loved animals. His love for animals began at an early age; having carrier pigeons, turtles, dogs and cats. His newest canine "piddle" will miss him terribly. Mark loved to swing a club on the golf course too and would jump at any opportunity to play a round.
Mark carried with him a friendly smile and a kind word to anyone who was fortunate enough to know or encounter him. You couldn't help but love Mark. His attitude was one of giving. He brought humor and laughter with him everywhere, even if the road was dark and dim.
Mark devoted his life to working in the landscape business and was an expert in the profession. He was "the best there was". He tenaciously held on to the ethic of a "hard worker" and was dressed for work when he left this life to move on to the next.
Mark was deeply loved by his family. We were blessed to have him in our lives. We will forever be changed by the loss of Mark, and our hearts will forever hold his spirit.
Mark is survived by his parents, Robert Hodges Sr. of Savannah GA, Patti Walden of Leesburg, FLA., his sister Kimberly Hodges of Savannah GA, his half-brothers Robert Hodges Jr and James Hodges of Savannah GA, his half-sister Melice Gerace of Midway GA and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Please donate to your local animal shelter or rescue in his honor.
1 Corinthians 15: 49-52
49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man. 50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. This passage emphasizes the transformation of believers from the physical to the spiritual realm.
