Charlotte McClain, 72, passed away on July 8, 2025. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Charlotte lived in Georgia for the past 30 years, spending 20 years in Rincon and the last 10 years in Townsend.

A devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Darien where she served as Clerk of Session and Treasurer.  Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived her life with a selfless spirit and a kind heart. She was a homemaker and retired from Georgia Mentor, where she touched many lives through her dedication and care.

Charlotte loved ceramics and found joy in creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and exploring new places with those she loved. Her gentle presence, encouragement, and the love she shared will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garnal and Geneva Coppock and her beloved dog, Sparky.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, James McClain; her children, Stephanie Burkhart (Shane), Stephen McClain (Lanita), and Jeffrey McClain; her brothers, Mark Coppock and Roy Wayne Coppock; and her grandchildren, Tanner McClain, Abbey Burkhart, Catherine McClain, and Carly McClain. She is also survived by her two dogs, Gally and Sophie, who brought her much joy.

Charlotte's family and friends will forever cherish her memory and the love she so freely gave.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church in Darien with visitation being held 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
