Charles W. Zimmerman, Sr., age 75, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.

Charles was born in Beaver Falls, PA.  He spent his early life in New Garden, OH and was a former resident of Garden City, GA.  Charles has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 30 years.

He was a retired truck driver and worked for Union Camp for 17 years.  Charles worked for a number of years at Magnolia Manor in maintenance.  He was a member and past state president of The Fraternal Order of the Eagles.  He loved country music, his guitar, and his PBR.

Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Zimmerman; his children, Charles Zimmerman, Jr. (Julie), Thomas Zimmerman (Arlene), Lynnette Zimmerman-Ertle (Ron), Tiffany Litko (Justin), and Heather Thompson (Daniel); a half-sister, Yvonne Long (Ricky); three brother, Robert Zimmerman (Mona), Donald Zimmerman (Becky), and Veryle Zimmerman (Betty); 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery in Savannah.
