Carolyne Elizabeth Bertrand, age 28, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020.

She made her home in Umatilla, FL for many years before moving to Ellabell in 2006. Carolyne was a graduate of Bryan County High School and an active member of Ellabell United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

She was a diehard Florida State fan and she loved basketball. Carolyne brought sunshine and happiness and was a gentle soul.  She loved God/Jesus and would tell you from the word go.  She always wanted to become a minister.  Her silliness, love for animals and her kind ways will be missed.

Carolyne loved to play Minecraft, make handmade trinkets, and wear her favorite vests and fedora hats. Her courage, strength, determination and always wanting to sing Christian Music will forever be etched in our minds.  Her "Loud" smile and contagious laugh shall not fade as when we look up to Heaven, we know you are the "Brightest Star" shining down on us.  Until we meet again.

Carolyne is survived by her mother, Julia DePaula Bernard of Ellabell; her step-father, Daniel Bernard; her father, Patrick Bertrand; her siblings, Charles Elston DePaula, Ashleigh Dawn DePaula, Constance Bertrand, Dawn Bertrand, and Patrick Bertrand, Jr.

She also leaves behind some very special Aunts, and Uncles; Rita (Travis) Graben, Valorie (Jeff) Allen, Tina (Robbie) Harrington, Betty (Goodwin) Zwayer and Uncle "Mike" Flesher, Irene (Bobby) Winton, Kathleen Gilmer, Theresa (Tony) Wright, and Ted Bertrand; cousins, Jody Perry, Kaiti Graben, Amanda Allen-Akers, and Hunter Flesher; lots of nieces/nephews especially Jessica and Alexandria (Abby) and her 1 ^st cousin, Travis Caine (Wookie).

Carolyne was a caring person whom she touched many lives deeply Along the way with lots of meaningful people from her Online Gaming World, Facebook, workplace and Neighborhood/High School friends who she loved and adores.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Ellabell United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family would like everyone to wear Red in honor of Carolyne as that was her favorite color.
