Carolyn Thomas Strickland, age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born in Savannah, GA.  She lived in Brunswick for a number of years before moving to Fleming 53 years ago.

She was a retired bookkeeper having worked with her husband in their business, "The Breezeway".   She was the radio station manager for WAPE in Jacksonville and WYNR in Brunswick.  Carolyn also worked for Lamar Advertising in Pensacola.

Carloyn loved to sew and she liked to fish.  She enjoyed working with her flowers.  She worked selling AVON for many years.

She is survived by her husband, James O. "Bubba" Strickland; her daughter, Leann Arp (Phil); her son, James T. "Tommy" Strickland (Melissa); her grandchildren, Matthew Arp, Molly Smith, Caitlyn Smith, and Emily Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
