At approximately 4:45 pm on Thursday, April 13th , 2023, Bridgett McBride Blatz, 76, of Savannah, GA passed from this life into the presence of the Lord.
Bridgett was born on September 19, 1946, to her parents Melvin R. and Opal Kennedy McBride in Texarkana, AR. After Bridgett graduated from Lucy P. Ragsdale High School, High Point NC in 1964, she went on to study Commercial Art & Advertising Design at Guilford Technical Community College, High Point NC. She also attended School of Biblical Studies with Youth With a Mission/University of the Nations.
Bridgett spent her adult life serving her lord as a missions teacher with Youth With a Mission all over the world through evangelism training and mercy ministries. Bridgett was committed to fellowship and spiritual eldership with all the young people in her life and she was loved by all. She would host tea parties to mentor young ladies while training and supporting their road to serve the Lord and minister to others.
In 1998, Bridgett met and married Bill Blatz while serving YWAM in Richmond, VA. Bridgett and Bill were an amazing team pioneering new ministries and methods with YWAM.

Bridgett was predeceased by her parents Mac and Opal McBride and grandson Ryan Kirby.

Bridgett is survived by her loving husband, Bill Blatz of 25 years and two brothers, Pete McBride (Gorland) and Denis McBride (Denise). She is also survived by her daughter, Amy Duggins of Houston TX and two stepdaughters, Debbie Christesson (Marty) of Winchester, VA and Kim Elke (Darrell) of Lynden, WA. Bridgett was also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at The Waterfront Church, 134 Thunderbird Dr., Richmond Hill, GA 31324 on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
