Betty L. Wilson, age 88, of Savannah Georgia, transitioned to her eternal life with the Lord on November 8th. 2023.

She was born in Brittons Neck, South Carolina and moved to Savannah upon marrying. She made Savannah her home and worked at Royal Globe Insurance Company and Savannah Technical College until her retirement in 2000. After retirement, she worked as a caregiver for several families.

She enjoyed shopping, arts and craft meetings with her friends, attending church, and serving the Lord. Her most favorite was showing her love and God's love to her family. She loved with all of her heart, which was filled with the love of the Lord. Her family was the center of her world and she always made it known by her generosity and her unwavering faith.

She was predeceased by her father, Louis Emory Hooks from an automobile accident before she was born. Her mother Retha  Melissa Hooks Shaw, predeceased her at the age of 92. Her brothers  Emory Hooks and Stanley Hooks, as well as her sister, June Hooks Evans and her son-in-law Curtis Stewart.

Survivors are her husband Arthur L. Wilson, her daughter Roberta (Robbie) Stewart, her grandchildren Phillip Austin Stewart (Danielle), Scott Perry Stewart (Kaitlyn), Faith Michelle Stewart, (Shaen), and her great grandson Ryder Curtis Stewart and  several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Richmond Hill on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm with fellowship and food following.

Flowers can be delivered to the Church after 12:pm on Friday.
