Betty Brigdon Shuman, age 76, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024.

Betty was born in Savannah, GA.  to the late Robert and Louise Bridgon.  She lived in Savannah for a number of years before moving to Richmond Hill 44 years ago. She graduated from Jenkins High School and attended Draughon's Practical Business College.

She owned and operated Richmond Hill Pawn Shop with her husband for many years.  Betty loved watching TV, gardening, and flowers.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Louise Brigdon; a brother, Bobby Brigdon; and her sisters, Anne Potts, Linda Faye, and Debbie Diaz.

She is survived by her husband, David Shuman; her daughter, Kimberly Cole; her sons, Bryan Keith Cole and Derek Shuman (Krystle); and her step-son, Mattieu Shuman; a brother, Ronald Ted Brigdon; her grandchildren, Nicholas Kerry, Rylee Shuman, and Olivia Shuman.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
