Bernard Cerrone, age 64, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his residence after a courageous battle with ALS.

Bernard lived for many years in New Hampshire before moving to Richmond Hill in 2016.  He was born in Queens, NY to the late Louis and Mary Ann Cerrone.

He was an accountant and a financial advisor.  Bernard became a self-employed insurance inspector and had a candy business.

Bernard loved to read and cook.  He enjoyed sailing and was Past Commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Long Island, NY.

He never complained while battling ALS and he loved talking to everyone that he met.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maria Avallone.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Zina Cerrone of Richmond Hill; his daughters, Sophia Cerrone (Fiance-Jacob Fisher) of River Ridge, LA and Rebecca Cerrone of Statesboro, Ga; his son, Elijah Cerrone of Richmond Hill; a sister, Carol Bellomo (Barney); a brother, Frank Cerrone (Francesca); a brother-in-law, Jim Avallone; his nephews, Anthony Bellomo, Marc Avallone, Louis Cerrone, Michael Cerrone and Johnny Cerrone; his nieces, Carolyn Bellomo and Michelle Avallone; his great-niece, Mila; and his companion dogs, "Rocco" and "Pearson".

It was Bernard's wishes that he be cremated and no services held.
