Benjamin Alexander Harrison (AKA Alex, Alec, B.A., or Big Daddy), 75, of Richmond Hill, GA passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025 at Hospice Savannah.

Born on July 31, 1949, in Austell, GA, Alex was the youngest child of Benjamin and Margaret Harrison. He graduated from South Cobb High School in 1967. He attended the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University, earning an associate's degree in business administration. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor of business administration in Marketing from Georgia State University in 1972. He served 6 years in the Air National Guard of Georgia as a Fire Protection Specialist. He worked in business and sales in his early career and later worked in mortgage lending until his retirement from Regions Bank.

Alex was married to the love of his life, Diane Carrington Harrison, for 45 years until she passed away in 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest sister Alice Harrison Smaha. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Harrison Hendricks, her husband, Tim, and three grandchildren, Cole, Jack, and Amelia Hendricks. In addition, he leaves behind his sister Barbara (Dick) Parke of Jacksonville, and a multitude of
relatives and friends.

Alex was known for his quick wit, generous heart, and unending puns. He loved the beach, especially Amelia Island. He enjoyed fishing, golf, time with family, and a good cigar. He loved his grandchildren the most and loved to brag on all their accomplishments.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 3PM at Church of the Hill in Richmond Hill, GA. Bring your stories, your smiles, and your best "B.A-isms" to share.

I've finished life's chores assigned to me.
