Benjamin Charles Eiford passed away peacefully at his home in Richmond Hill, GA on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Ben was born on July 27, 1979, in Thomasville, GA to Philip and Diane Eiford.  Ben grew up in Cairo, GA and described his childhood as "storybook".  He treasured his memories with friends and teachers, many of whom he remained close to after so many years.  Following his graduation from Cairo High School and Georgia Institute of Technology, Ben worked for over 20 years in the medical diagnostic industry.  He knew and loved the Lord, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cairo, Georgia.

Ben was a devoted son and family member, loyal colleague, and had a vast group of friends that spanned geographies, ages and walks of life.  He easily connected with strangers and friends alike, was an avid storyteller who made everyone laugh, and was an encourager to those who knew him.  Ben was loved dearly and will be missed by all.

Survivors include:  His parents Philip and Diane Eiford of Thomasville, GA, brother Greg Eiford (Laura) of Thomasville, GA, nephew Hayes Eiford (Kayla) of Auburn, AL, nephew Walker Eiford (Kara) of Charlotte, NC, niece Eliza Eiford of Auburn, AL, great nephews Caden and Beckett Eiford of Auburn, AL, and a host of extended family.

A private memorial service for Ben will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Richmond Hill United Methodist Church in Richmond Hill, GA.  Reverend Jay Tucker will officiate.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cairo, Cairo, GA or Richmond Hill United Methodist Church, Richmond Hill, GA.
