Belinda "Lindy" Mock Thompson, age 66, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Lindy was born in Lakeland, FL.  She lived in Statesboro for a number of years before moving to Ellabell 6 years ago.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked for Candler County Hospital, Evans County Hospital, and Ogeechee Area Hospice.  She was so proud of graduating in 2016 with an LPN degree from Ogeechee Technical College.

Lindy was a member of Compassion Christian Church in Savannah and she was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.  She was living her best times of her retirement caring for her great-grandson and living life to the fullest with her husband Calvin.

She enjoyed decorating, gardening, biking, boating, hunting and fishing.  She was the proudest of her grandchildren and her deer head trophies.

Lindy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Ellis Mock and Juanita Broxton Mock.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Thompson of Ellabell; her son, Joey Merritt (Heather) of Brooklet; her brother, Jack "Butch" Mock (Marsha) of Auburndale, Fl.; her grandchildren, Lexie Merritt, Torri Merritt, and Luke Merritt (Callie); her great-grandson, Jack Ellis Merritt; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
