Audrey Rahn Murphy, age 93, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Audrey lived most of her life in Richmond Hill. She retired after 36 years of service from Southern Bell.  She was very active in the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church until her health failed her.  She loved feeding her birds.  Audrey especially liked fishing and shrimping.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John V. Murphy and her second husband, Al Hessenthaler.

Audrey is survived by her son and daughter –in-law, David and Regina Murphy of Richmond Hill; her grandchildren, Amanda Murphy Medler (Jamie) of Duluth, GA, and John Thomas Murphy of Richmond Hill; her sister-in-law, Bertie Rahn of Richmond Hill.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2017 at the First Baptist Cemetery in Richmond Hill with Dr. Glenn Martin officiating.
