Arthur William Wright III, age 54, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 6, 1970, in Miami, Florida.

Art Wright, the legendary "Shrimp Pimp," lived a life full of purpose, energy, and joy. A proud U.S. soldier, devoted husband, loving father, and steadfast friend, Art never let a moment go to waste. He was the kind of man who simply never sat still—always building, fixing, creating, and cheerfully lending a hand wherever it was needed. "If we can put a man on the Moon, Baby, we can do this"….anything and any problem.  Also known for his hilariously thrifty ways ("cheap"), Art was always on the hunt for a good deal and took pride in finding the smartest, most economical solution to every challenge. His love for NASCAR racing, boating, and fishing brought him countless adventures and even more stories to share. Above all, Art had a rare and beautiful gift—the ability to bring out the best in everyone around him. His steady encouragement, genuine kindness, and infectious spirit inspired people to believe in themselves and aim higher. Art's legacy of hard work, humor, love, and lifting others up will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him and play darts with him. Cherry!

Art was a US Army Veteran having served in Desert Storm. He served as a police officer in the City of Gray, Georgia, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 660. His strong work ethic and leadership led him to a successful career as a manager at Walmart distribution centers in Savannah and Statesboro. He spent the past 13 years in Richmond Hill, after previously living in Macon, Georgia. His presence in the community was felt by many, and his absence will be deeply mourned.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy Wright; his children, Joshua Wright (Erin), Morgan Wright Baker (Brad), Sadie Wright, and Katherine Wright; and his cherished grandchildren, Baron Baker, Iris Baker, and Azalea Baker. He also leaves behind his mother, Judy Durand; father, David Wilshin; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of life service at 6:00 PM. Burial with military honors will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Arthur's legacy of courage, compassion, and commitment will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
