Obituary

Mrs. Alice Wai-Fong Sheplar passed away on August 30, 2021.

Alice was born in Guangzhou, China.  She lived in Germany and Texas before moving to Richmond Hill 33 years ago.

She retired from Winn Army Community Hospital in 2008 but kept working for a few years after retirement before returning to school.  Alice loved to travel. She enjoyed the French language and culture, and also Mongolian culture.  She liked cooking and gardening.

Alice was ambitious.  She received four college degrees, having graduated from Vincennes University in Indiana, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and Boston University.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Sheplar; her daughter, Lauren Sheplar; her mother, May-Hing Kwan; brother, Angus Cheung (Hermia Lee); sister, Wai-Ying Cheung (Benny Law); nieces and nephew, Melita Law, Michelle Cheung, and Kenneth Law.
