Alethia Felecia Houston-Ferrell was born to the late Willie A. Houston and Madeline H. Houston on March 21, 1963. She was the fifth born of six children from this union. Preceding her in death is her late husband William J. Ferrell, two sisters Vera M. Houston and Bernadine Houston, and brother Oliver B. Houston.

Alethia Ferrell entered Eternal Rest on April 13, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga.

Alethia Ferrell was educated in the public schools of Bryan County graduating from Richmond Hill High School in Richmond Hill, Ga.

At an early age, Alethia Ferrell attended the Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Hill, Ga. She served on the Usher board, Deaconess Ministry, and was the church's Secretary for many years. She later joined Agape Christian Fellowship of Hinesville, Ga where she served on the Women's Auxiliary, Hospitality, and Usher Ministry.

Alethia Ferrell worked for Gulfstream as an Aircraft Inspector for 19 years and the Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center for 17 years as the Laundry and Housekeeping Supervisor.

Alethia Ferrell leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Faith E. and Hope N. Ferrell; Brothers Joseph (Tonya) Houston and James (Rosemary) Houston; Mother-in-law Patricia Ferrell and Brothers-in-law Robert Ferrell and Kevin Ferrell; Her grandchildren Ross Curry IV, Serenity Ferrell, and Apollo Ferrell; Aunt Maggie Elomarie, as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, and extended friends and family. With special acknowledgement to her Brother from God Desmond Morris.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Bryan Neck Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The repast will be held at the families home in Hinesville.
