Aaron David Nelms, age 80, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Aaron was born in Alamo, GA.  A former resident of Glenwood, GA. he has lived in Richmond Hill for the past 30 years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He retired as Market Manager for Piggly Wiggly in Richmond Hill after many years of service.

Aaron was an avid reader and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael King.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Diane Floyd of Richmond Hill; his children, Andrew Nelms of Collins, Ray Griffin (Debbie) of Savannah, and Lynn Leibfried (Jon) of Richmond Hill; his brother, Larry Nelms of Mount Vernon; a sister, Vanzie Gillis of Glenwood; his grandchildren, Gregory Griffin, Dallas Paul, Kendall Griffin, Gavin Griffin, Kirsten Leibfried-Schofield, and Reese Leibfried; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 31, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Daniel Baptist Cemetery.
