Brian Russell Maser, age 65, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Brian was raised in Upper Dublin, where his entrepreneurial
spirit was evident from an early age. A born salesman, he delighted in finding creative ways to
earn a dollar, from selling Burpee seeds to cats in bags. As a young man, he won the Tastykake
Home Run Derby and spent countless evenings after school golfing with his father, creating
memories that would last a lifetime. He attended the Synagogue of Beth Shalom in Elkins Park,
Pennsylvania where he had his bar mitzvah.
Brian graduated from Penn State University, where he proudly served on the varsity
cheerleading squad and, on occasion, had the honor of portraying the beloved Nittany Lion
mascot. It was through a blind date to play touch football that he met the love of his life, Jo
Ann. That first date blossomed into a beautiful marriage that spanned 41 wonderful years.
A gifted businessman, Brian first owned and operated a successful landscaping company before
discovering his true calling in insurance sales. He began his career with Paul Revere before
transitioning to a position with Ameritas, where he would serve alongside lifelong friends for
over 20 years. Out of this opportunity, Brian established his wholesale business, Tristate
Disability Center. His passion, dedication, and expertise earned him the title of the "King of DI".
Brian cared deeply for his team, agents in the field, and home office associates. He was
immensely proud to partner with his daughter to build a legacy into the second generation.
Brian was also an active member of NAIFA, serving as a New Jersey chapter President for over
10 years.
Brian and Jo Ann made Richmond Hill, Georgia, their home for the past six years. They were
longtime members of New Life Church and attended Community Bible Church. Prior to moving
to Richmond Hill, they lived for many years in Weeki Wachee, Florida, and Greenville, South
Carolina, where they attended Greenville First Assembly of God Church. Brian also treasured
the fellowship of the Men's Bible Study at Dorchester Shooting Preserve in Midway, Georgia,
and deeply valued the friendships he found there.
Brian embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an avid bicyclist, a car enthusiast, a devoted
golfer, and a member of both the Richmond Hill Golf Club and Green Valley Country Club. He
and Jo Ann especially enjoyed spending time together on Jekyll Island.
Above all, Brian's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father who
loved coaching his children's basketball teams, and an adoring grandfather affectionately
known as "Popper." His grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to his life, and he
treasured every moment spent with them.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Jo Ann Maser; his children, Lorne Maser
(Lindsey), Kirsten Scott (Paul), and Connor Maser (Caroline); his parents, Edward and Stella
Maser; his sister, Laurie Dennis; his brother, Marc Maser (Anne); his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Lindora Irvin; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Sensenig (Donald) and Cathy Rippeon (Mark); and his cherished grandchildren, Ava, Elijah, Joshua, Brooks, Makenna, Redding, Darby, Emma, Riley, Abigail, and Jacob.

Brian will be remembered for his unwavering faith, infectious personality, remarkable work
ethic, generous heart, and his ability to make friends wherever he went. His love for his family,
his dedication to helping others, and his joyful spirit leave a lasting legacy that will continue to
inspire all who were blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Dorchester Shooting Preserve, 2640 Sunbury Road, Midway, GA 31320 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

For friends and relatives that cannot attend the service in Midway, a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 with the time to be announced at the Concord Country Club, 1601 Wilmington Pike, West Chester, PA 19382.
