Brenda Austin Mason, age 70, passed away Thursday, October 10 ,2024 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.

She was born on July 21, 1954 in Atlanta, GA to the late Louie K Austin and Bernice Hammonds Austin. Brenda was their only child.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Laura Dickerson Akins(Todd), stepson Christopher Todd Mason(Sally), grandson Grant William Mason, husband, William Paul Mason, several nieces and nephews from her first marriage and several cousins.

Brenda had recently moved to Richmond Hill, GA from Dripping Springs, TX but Conyers, GA was her true home. She worked for Rockdale County School system, teaching at Memorial Middle School and Salem High School for several years.

She also worked at multiple law firms, McDonough UMC, and the Christian Council. Social work was her true love.

Brenda loved genealogy, trips to the beach and decorating her home with family portraits, paintings and antiques. She and Paul had twenty five (25) wonderful years together.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Union Global Methodist Church in Stockbridge, GA with visitation one hour prior to the services.

Burial will be held in the church cemetery.
